Back for it's 6th year running, the Big Chill Adventure Race will challenge veterans and novices alike. All new courses this year, with all the things you have come to expect from us... a tough as nails race, awesome shwagg, cool special tests, and more. The race will happen rain, snow, or shine, so be prepared for any type of weather.  New this year race headquarters will be at South Shore Park at Lake Bastrop. If you need camping, we highly recommend you reserve tent sites or cabins soon because this is a very popular park. Can't hang for 24 hours? Choose our 12 hour or 6 hour course instead. We set the bar high...now it's up to you to reach it!

Big Chill 24 hour Adventure Course: This year's course will include river paddling, mountain biking on roads, jeep trails and single track, orienteering, urban racing and special tests.  Racers need to be equipped for one tough as nails course that may keep them away from TA for up to 10 hours.  Be prepared for approximately 18-24 miles of paddling, 30-50 miles of biking and 20-30 miles of trekking.  Estimated winning time is 18 hours. Racers need to leave themselves approximately 1 hr to drop off boats on Saturday morning.  We will be busing racers to the start.  The Big Chill Adventure Course will be part of the new Checkpoint Tracker Series.  We encourage folks to create racer and team profiles on this super cool new website!
