...a 175 foot rappel, snorkelteering in crystal clear waters, 14 miles of sweet, sweet single track, mine maze, riflery, water slides and brand spankin' new this year, a 3000 foot Zipline. It's summertime and Too Cool is gearing up to give you their funnest, coolest race yet. To celebrate the opening of the biggest, baddest Zipline in Texas we are also going bigger and badder with the new 36 hour Adventure course!  All new courses this year with all the things you have come to expect from us and from Camp Eagle...tough as nails race, awesome shwagg, cool special tests, and more. The race will happen rain, sleet, or shine, so be prepared for any type of weather.  If you need air conditioned housing we highly recommend you reserve that soon because this is a very popular race. Lodging reservations open on January 8, 2013. Can't hang for 36 hours? Choose the sprint  race or the 12 hour option instead. Make sure to bring the whole family and stay for all the weekend activities; water activities, zip line, Family Fun Adventure Race, Murder Mystery Night Nav Race, Too Cool Game Show and Happy Hour and of course one, bad ass adventure race!   Come see why this is Texas' most popular race 8 years running!  We set the bar high...now it's up to you to reach it!

FRIDAY: 
7:00 am-Racer check  in for 36 hr course
9:00 am-Pre race meeting for 36 hr course
9:30 am-Prologue for 36 hr course
11:00 am-load bus for 36 hr course
6-9 pm Racer check in for sprint and 12 hr course, pre race burgers 7-8:30 pm


SATURDAY: Pre race meeting sprint and 12 hr course 8:30, Adventure race begins 9 am, waterfront, climbing, mountain biking open to all others

SUNDAY:
8:00 am-Breakfast served
8:30 am-Awards ceremony
10:00-11 am-kids/family adventure race
11-1 pm-Kitchen open for lunch
Noon-5 pm-Waterfront and toys open
1-3 pm-Mega Zip line* and regular zipline open
5 pm-6 pm: Too Cool Happy Hour and game show sponsored by Twisted X! Join us in the pavilion as we tap the keg and break open the chips .
6 pm: Kitchen serves dinner. Pre order a rockin dinner from our chefs at Camp Eagle!
7-9 pm-game room open
7 pm Murder Mystery Night Nav
9 pm-Too Cool Campfire and marshmallow roast. Would not be camp without it!




How it works:  Wristbands for family and friends will be $10 for adults and $8 for kids 3-8 for the weekend  (land use fees for racers are covered in their fees).  In addition, an activity wristband will be sold that will allow everyone who wants  to use the 850 foot zip, the rock climbing and the rappeling from 1-4:30 on Saturday and 1-3 on Sunday. *Mega Zipline tickets will be sold separately. Tickets are $15 and there will be 40 tickets sold (ages 12 and up, weight limit 200 pounds) first come first serve for Sunday.   Friday night pre race burgers or Thursday pasta dinner and Sunday breakfast is included in all adventure racer (Spread Your Wings) fees and are available for a nominal amount to all others.

Spread your Wings 36 Hour Adventure Course:  This year's course will include 10-12 miles river paddling, 70-80 miles mountain biking on roads, jeep trails and single track, 25-35 miles trekking, orienteering , ropes stuff and special tests.  Racers need to be prepared for one tough as nails course. Think Texas is flat and boring?  Think again!  Take a look at the topography around camp.  Estimated winning time is 24 hours.  The Spread Your Wings Adventure Course will be part of the Checkpoint Tracker Series as well as a regional championship race for the North American Adventure Racing Series.

Spread your Wings  Sprint Course:This year Too Cool is proud to bring back the highly successful sprint race that will include river paddling, mountain biking on jeep trails and single track, very basic orienteering (pre plotted camp maps) and special tests.  This course is designed for the beginner in mind!  Too Cool will be providing the boats (real tandem sit on tops), racers just need to have a bike and a camelbak!  Be prepared for approximately 1-2 miles of paddling, 8-10 miles of biking, 3-5 miles of trekking and fun special tests.  Estimated winning time is 3 hours.  We will cap this race at 40-two person teams.  Please register early.
