New to Adventure Racing?

Want to do an adventure race but don't know where to start?  Sounds like fun but scared of a little map and compass navigation?  Can't talk any of your friends into it?  We can help!  Since 2005, Too Cool Racing has been helping people fall in love with the sport of adventure racing.  Our spring sprints are designed to introduce new racers to the sport.  Each race lasts approximately 4-8 hours and has three main components: mountain biking, paddling and trekking/trail running.  Using a map and compass and occasionally a marked course, teams of two work together to complete the tasks.  Sounds like fun but still not sure?

Here's how we can help:

  • Hook you up!  There are adventure racing groups in Austin, Houston and Dallas that are preparing racers and forming teams specifically for our sprints!
  • Provide a free beginner's clinic before each race, led by some of the best racers in the state.  They show you how to use those things called a map and compass.
  • Provide links to inexpensive boat rentals.
  • Every racer that finishes gets a cool finisher award!  Bragging rights on Monday!
  • Help find teammates via our Teammate Finder on our forum.
We know you are ready for the Too Cool Challenge!  Bring it!
